The United Arab Emirates announced on Thursday the formation of a national committee to document the Iranian attacks that have targeted the Gulf state for weeks and the resulting damage.

The Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported that the decision to establish the committee, which will include representatives from several federal and local ministries and entities, was taken.

The committee will be responsible for documenting Iranian acts of aggression and international crimes, as well as the resulting damage, which have affected the UAE, its citizens, visitors, and residents. This will ensure the creation of a comprehensive national record based on reliable evidence.

The committee will be tasked with documenting and monitoring the incidents of attacks and military actions related to Iranian aggression, with meticulous verification of their nature, timing, and circumstances on the ground.

WAM stated, “The outcomes of the committee’s work will contribute to supporting the UAE’s legal efforts at both the national and international levels by preparing a comprehensive documentation file that supports accountability procedures and is based on evidence documented according to internationally recognized standards.”

Iran launched more than 2,800 drones and missiles at the UAE since the start of the war on February 28 until the ceasefire that came into effect on April 8. The Iranian strikes resulted in the deaths of 12 residents. (EIR)
