Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he presented US President Donald Trump with three main options for dealing with the Iranian issue, according to US media.

Netanyahu also denied, according to the media, that he had tried to convince Trump to continue military attacks on Iran while negotiations were underway between Washington and Tehran. He said, “No, I didn’t mislead anything… nobody tells President Trump what to do.”

He said that among the options he discussed were negotiating a broader deal with Iranian officials, continuing the blockade of the vital Strait of Hormuz waterway, or taking further military action, clarifying that the final decision rests solely with the US president.

This comes as the US military resumed its strikes on Iran on Thursday in response to attacks carried out by Tehran targeting US bases in Jordan, after a week of de-escalation. This raises concerns about a wider war in the Middle East, especially with the involvement of Iran’s regional allies. (EIR/Agencies)
