Abu Dhabi state oil company ADNOC CEO Sultan Al Jaber has said that the Strait of Hormuz is a natural waterway governed by international law, which guarantees transit rights.
Stating that access to the strait is being restricted, conditioned and controlled, Jaber warned that weaponization of this vital waterway, in any form, cannot stand, and would set a dangerous precedent for the world.
On a LinkedIn post, he stressed the waterway must be opened unconditionally, no strings attached. Highlighting that energy security and global economic stability depend on the unconditional opening of the strait, he called for restoring full, unimpeded passage to stabilize markets. Reuters
