Iran launched a missile strike on the United States’ Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar this evening, in retaliation for recent US attacks on its nuclear facilities. The Qatari Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense systems successfully intercepted the incoming Iranian missiles aimed at Al Udeid. It confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the strike, stating: “Qatar reserves the right to respond appropriately and proportionately to this flagrant violation of its sovereignty, airspace, and international law.”

Iran’s National Security Council, in a separate statement, emphasized: “Our military operations pose no threat to the friendly and brotherly nation of Qatar or its people.” A senior White House official confirmed that President Donald Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine are closely monitoring the unfolding situation.
