The European Commission has decided to delay the retaliatory tariffs in response to US tariffs on steel and aluminum until August 1. Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said, “Brussels is working to reach an agreement that would spare the EU from 30% tariffs.”
She added, “The United States sent a message outlining measures that will be implemented unless a negotiated solution is reached, so we are in turn extending our suspension of retaliatory measures.”
