Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Wednesday that Israeli forces had killed Iran’s Minister of Intelligence Esmail Khatib.

“Last night Iran’s Intelligence Minister Khatib was also eliminated,” Katz said in a statement.

The statement added that the military has been authorized to target any senior Iranian official without requiring further approval.

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and I have authorized the IDF to eliminate any senior Iranian official for whom the intelligence and operational circle has been closed, without the need for additional approval,” Katz said in a statement. (AFP)
