Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said that Iran remained undecided about attending the second round of talks with the United States.
He told reporters, “Iran entered the negotiations in good faith and with seriousness, but the US has shown disregard and indifference, constantly shifting its goalposts.”
Noting that the naval blockade imposed on Iranian ports remains in place, he described it as “aggression.”
He added, “Firing on and seizing an Iranian commercial vessel is unbecoming of a country that claims to engage in serious diplomatic negotiations.”
He said, “If we see that going to Islamabad is in our national interest, we will go, but so far no decision has been made.” (Agencies)
