EU Suspends Tariffs on U.S. Goods

The European Union announced on Tuesday the suspension of retaliatory tariffs it had imposed on US goods worth €93 billion (approximately $107 billion), following an agreement reached with Washington last month. EU trade spokesperson Olof Gill said, “The commission has today adopted the necessary legal procedures to suspend the implementation of our EU countermeasures, which were due to kick in on August 7.”
