Trump Says US, China to Hold Talks on Possible 'Energy Deal'

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that officials from Washington and Beijing would be meeting to hash out a possible “energy deal” between the two countries.

“China… agreed that they will begin the process of purchasing American Energy,” Trump said on Truth Social following talks with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

“Chris Wright, Doug Burgum, and our respective Energy teams will be meeting to see if such an Energy Deal can be worked out,” he added, referring to his secretaries of Energy and of the Interior. (AFP)
