Indonesia and the European Union reached a free-trade agreement in Bali on Tuesday after lengthy negotiations that accelerated after the increase in US tariffs.

The Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, signed by EU Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic and Indonesian Minister of Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, will bring resource-rich Indonesia and the 27-member European Union into closer economic ties. (AFP)
