The European Union (EU) on Thursday adopted its 19th round of sanctions against Russia over its war in Ukraine.
The Danish presidency of the EU Council said the sanctions include a ban on Russian LNG imports and travel restrictions on Russian diplomats.
The new measures also targeted more than 100 tankers transporting Russian oil from Russia’s shadow fleet.
These sanctions come a day after US President Donald Trump said that no concrete outcome was expected from his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding that “the time is right” to impose sanctions on Russia. (Agencies)
