Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said artificial intelligence must be accessible to everyone and serve as a tool for inclusion and empowerment.

Addressing a global AI summit on Thursday, Modi said AI should be democratized so that humans do not become mere data points or raw material for artificial intelligence systems. He stressed that AI must become a medium for inclusion, particularly for countries in the Global South.

The AI Impact Summit is the fourth annual international gathering focused on the rapidly advancing field. (AFP)
