The United States today launched a pre-dawn strikes on three major Iranian nuclear facilities, namely Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, with the deployment of five B-2 stealth bombers and Tomahawk missiles.

Declaring the operation a major success, US President Donald Trump said the US warplanes effectively hit all three nuclear enrichment sites and that the Fordow facility was completely destroyed. He further called on Iran to “make peace” by agreeing to immediately stop the war with Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the US strikes fulfilled his long-standing vow to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program, while stressing that the strikes were coordinated with Israel.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, meanwhile, denounced the strikes, calling them “a grave and unprecedented violation of the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations and international law.”   Terming today’s events as outrageous, he warned that deadly consequences and far-reaching implications are to follow.
