US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Iran decided to fire shots yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz, in complete violation of the ceasefire agreement, adding that multiple shots were fired at a French ship and a British freighter. On his Truth Social account, he wrote, “That wasn’t nice, was it?”

Stating US officials would reach Islamabad, Pakistan, on Monday evening for negotiations, he observed that Iran’s recent announcement of closing the strait was strange “because our BLOCKADE has already closed it.”

He added that closing the strait cost Iran about $500 million a day, while “the United States loses nothing,” pointing out that many ships are currently heading to Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska to load their cargo with US oil and gas, “compliments of the IRGC.”

Trump reiterated that his country was offering “a very fair and reasonable deal,” expressing hope that Tehran would accept it. He warned that if Iran rejected the deal, “the United States is going to knock out every single power plant and every single bridge in Iran.”

He ended by saying that the US would no longer act as “Mr. Nice Guy” and that Iranian infrastructure would “come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the deal.”

Meanwhile, US media, citing US Ambassador to UN Michael Waltz, reported that US Vice President Vance will be leading the US delegation for talks with Iran in Pakistan. (EIR)
