Ali Akbar Velayati, an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, said on Sunday that the security of Bab al-Mandeb Strait was firmly “in the hands of our brothers, Ansar Allah,” referring to the Houthis in Yemen. He clarified that the security in the Strait of Hormuz and Malacca is now guaranteed through “Iran and its strategic partners.”

Referring to the recent diplomatic meetings in Paris, Velayati dismissed the efforts of Western nations as a “ridiculous spectacle,” while commending Spain’s diplomatic stances. Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that Iranian forces on Sunday turned back two tankers attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz.

Likewise, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Aerospace Force said that Iran now updates and replenishes its missile and drone launchers at a higher speed than it did prior to the war with the US and Israel. (Agencies)
