Turkey, Syria to Sign Military Cooperation Agreement by August
Turkey and Syria are expected to sign a military cooperation agreement by the end of August, according to Russia’s TASS news agency. TASS reported that the agreement includes Turkish support for the new Syrian authorities in reforming the military and training personnel, in addition to the deployment of Turkish air defense systems and drones within Syrian territory.
OPEC+ Members Agree to Boost Oil Production by 547,000 BPD
Saudi Arabia, Russia, and six other key OPEC+ members said on Sunday that they have agreed to increase oil production by 547,000 barrels per day in an effort to regain market share amid persistently high crude prices. “The eight participating countries will implement a production adjustment of 547,000 barrels per day in September 2025, based on the required production level for August 2025,” Opec+ said.
Druze Militia Kill Five Syrian Security Personnel
Sources reported on Sunday that five members of the Syrian Internal Security Forces were killed in an attack carried out by armed Druze militia on the village of Tal Hadid in the countryside of Sweida province.
US Sanctions Against Palestinian Officials
The United States has imposed sanctions that deny visas to officials from the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian Authority (PA).
