Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Europe cannot be considered a peacemaker, as it continues to incite Kyiv to prolong the war. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Peskov dismissed as unrealistic the idea that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump would travel to Budapest on the same plane.
Regarding the European Union’s possible participation in the upcoming Russia–US summit in Budapest, he said, “It is too early to talk about that.” He added that much work remains ahead of the Putin–Trump meeting, but noted that the mood in the Kremlin remains positive. While some reports have suggested the summit may have been postponed, Peskov clarified that no date has yet been set.
Commenting on NATO military exercises, he said they are “of constant interest to the Russian armed forces” and are being “carefully analyzed.” (Agencies)
