European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stressed that the European Union should ramp up its aid to Ukraine as the United States halts the delivery of certain weapons to the embattled country.
Speaking at a press conference marking Denmark’s assumption of the EU’s rotating presidency, von der Leyen said, “It’s a clear message to step up our own support, ramping up our European defense capacities, not only at the level of the European Union, but at the continental level.”
