Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Sunday it was not up to Russia to decide on potential security guarantees for Ukraine that Kyiv seeks from Western allies for when the war ends. “It’s not the choice of Russia how the future sovereignty, independence, liberty of Ukraine is guaranteed. It’s the choice of Ukraine and the decisions of the partners,” Carney said on his visit to Kyiv. He added, “If Russia’s aggression remains unanswered, it will not stop here,” emphasizing the importance of “vital investments” by NATO member states in Ukraine.  (AFP)
