Sources reported on Sunday that five members of the Syrian Internal Security Forces were killed in an attack carried out by armed Druze militia on the village of Tal Hadid in the countryside of Sweida province. A Syrian security source had earlier accused “armed groups” of violating the ceasefire agreement in Sweida by attacking internal security forces and shelling several villages in the area, resulting in the death of one officer and the injury of others. The state-run Ekhbariya TV quoted the source as saying that these attacks coincided with “government efforts to restore stability and calm to Sweida through the return of services and normalcy.” (Agencies)
