US Central Command announced that three US service members were killed and five seriously wounded during ongoing military operations against Iran, marking the first reported US casualties since the campaign began on Saturday.

The command said several others sustained minor injuries and are being returned to duty. It added that further details, including the identities of those killed, would be released after families are notified.

CENTCOM also denied Iranian claims that the USS Abraham Lincoln was struck by ballistic missiles, stating that the aircraft carrier remains fully operational. (EIR)
