US President Donald Trump pledged to work to end the war in Sudan, which has been ongoing since April 2023. On his Truth Social post, he said he would “use the power and influence of the Presidency to bring an immediate halt to what is taking place in Sudan.”

He added, “We will work with Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and other Middle Eastern partners to get these atrocities to end, while at the same time stabilizing Sudan.”

During his participation in the US-Saudi Investment forum, the US president said, “Sudan was not on my charts to be involved in that, and I thought it was just something that was crazy and out of control.”
