Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, said that the Polish Ministry of Defense is unwilling to consult with its Russian counterparts over the September 10 drone incident. Ulyanov wrote on his Telegram account, “The Defense Ministry of Russia has proposed consultations; the Defense Ministry of Poland is not ready. This looks like a provocation or a misunderstanding, which the Polish side is not willing to clarify.” He added that “lots of simple questions” about why Russia seeks to destabilize the situation in Poland have been left unanswered.
