Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that the United States and its allies have jeopardized the security of maritime shipping and energy flows by violating the ceasefire and imposing a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on X Tuesday, he said a new equation is being solidified in the Strait of Hormuz, and that the continuation of the status quo is unacceptable to the United States.
He added, “We are fully aware that the continuation of the status quo is unacceptable to America, and we have not yet begun.”
Likewise, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards political deputy commander Brigadier General Yadollah Javani asserted that any ship seeking to cross the Strait of Hormuz should obtain Iran’s approval, suggesting Tehran’s growing power in the region.
Fars News Agency carried Javani’s televised remarks, “America’s main concern is that Iran has become a major power in the region,” adding, “The future of the new world order will be born from this war.” (EIR)
