US Military to Begin Blockade of Iranian Ports

Eagle Intelligence Reports • April 13, 2026 •

The US military said it would begin a blockade of all Iranian ports on Monday, after talks between the warring sides in Pakistan collapsed with President Donald Trump blaming Tehran’s refusal to abandon its nuclear ambitions.

President Donald Trump said he does not care if Iran comes back to negotiations after talks in Pakistan failed to produce a deal.

Meanwhile, Iranian Navy Commander Shahram Irani ridiculed Trump’s threat to impose a naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz.

He said that the USS Lincoln strike group is under constant Iranian monitoring and will be targeted as soon as it comes within range of missile systems.

Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said his country would not give in to threats.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Sunday that Tehran had been just “inches away” from a deal with Washington during weekend talks with the United States in Islamabad. (AFP)
