US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with resuming military operations if Iran does not agree to a deal, adding, the operation will be at a much higher level and intensity than before.
Posting on Truth Social Wednesday, he said, “Assuming Iran agrees to give what has been agreed to, which is, perhaps, a big assumption, the already legendary Epic Fury will be at an end, and the highly effective Blockade will allow the Hormuz Strait to be OPEN TO ALL, including Iran.”
“If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be, sadly, at a much higher level and intensity than it was before,” he added.
Trump’s threats comes a day after he decided to pause the US operation of escorting ships out of the Strait of Hormuz in hopes of a deal.
Meanwhile, US news outlet Axios reported that Washington believes it is close to reaching an agreement with Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the war.
