Russia said on Thursday that it will continue exporting oil, citing surging demand in global markets amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters that oil production volumes among OPEC+ members remained unchanged at present.

Concerning the G20 summit, he said Russia has not yet decided on nominating a representative to the summit.

Similarly, he added, “The Kremlin will, in due course, announce the names of foreign leaders who would attend the 81st Victory Day celebrations on May 9 in Moscow.”

Meanwhile, Brent crude rose 1.9% to $104 a barrel, driven by concerns about a protracted war in the Middle East. (Agencies)
