Rome Ruled Out as Possible Trump-Putin Summit Venue

Russia’s TASS news agency has dismissed reports that Rome could host a planned meeting between President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. ‏Fox News, citing sources, said the meeting could take place on August 11, however, a source told TASS that Rome was “out of the question,” adding, “Not Europe. Europe would not be a suitable place for a meeting.” ‏On Thursday, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed that Moscow and Washington had agreed to hold the meeting in the coming days, however, the date was undecided as it depended on the progress of preparations.
