Mamdani: New York Victory Shows Way to ‘Defeat’ Trump

New York’s mayor-elect said his decisive victory shows a way to defeat US President Donald Trump, who has been a fierce critic of the young Muslim’s Democratic socialist policies. “If anyone can show a nation betrayed by Donald Trump how to defeat him, it is the city that gave rise to him,” Zohran Mamdani said in a victory speech to supporters. “In this moment of political darkness, New York will be the light.” (AFP)
