Maduro En Route to New York Courthouse for First Appearance

Deposed Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro was en route to a New York courthouse early Monday, live footage on US media showed, just days after being seized in Caracas in a shock US military operation.

Maduro, 63, was shackled and accompanied by a number of heavily armed law enforcement officers. He was flown by helicopter to New York, where he was placed in an armored car. (AFP)
