Two Iranian drones targeted the port of Duqm in Oman on Sunday, injuring a worker, according to the Oman News Agency.
This marks the first attack on the US-Iranian mediator after Tehran began launching strikes in the Gulf in retaliation for the US-Israeli attack.
The Oman News Agency said on X, “A security source reported that the Duqm commercial port was targeted by two drones, one of which struck a mobile workers’ accommodation, resulting in an expatriate worker being injured, while debris from the other fell in an area near the fuel tanks with no human or material losses.”
The agency added that an oil tanker (SKYLIGHT) flying the flag of Palau was targeted 5 nautical miles north of the port of Khasab in the Musandam Governorate, noting that four crew members were injured and evacuated.
