Egypt has approved the establishment of a dedicated camp for the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in North Sinai, according to informed US sources who spoke to Eagle Intelligence Reports, requesting anonymity.
In addition, the sources confirmed that the establishment of the camp is part of the ongoing arrangements to implement the next phase of the US peace plan for the Gaza Strip. United States officials are expected to meet with their Egyptian counterparts to finalize remaining procedures related to the ISF’s operations.
According to the sources, the US side is seeking to close the remaining technicalities during the upcoming meeting to move to the next stage of the ISF’s arrangements. Moreover, establishing the camp in North Sinai represents the first operational step for the ISF’s logistical preparations and coincides with a US effort to expedite field readiness ahead of deployment.
The approval to establish the camp is part of the organizational package that Cairo and Washington are working to complete before the ISF begins its mission. The meeting between the two sides is expected to address the final procedures related to the force, including logistical and coordination requirements.

The steps being advanced by Egypt and the US, and the meeting scheduled to take place, signal a clear move toward the practical implementation of the ISF in Gaza. Washington is pushing to prepare the field environment for the force, making North Sinai a central hub in shaping the day after the war in Gaza.
The United States administration is concentrating its current efforts on laying the foundations on which the ISF will operate, including the structure of its deployment, its crossing mechanisms, the size of the contingent that will move across the border, and how the force will enter Gaza.
United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 authorizes Member States, working alongside the Board of Peace, to establish a temporary International Stabilization Force in Gaza. The force will operate under a unified command acceptable to the Board of Peace, with troop contributions from participating states. Its deployment is to be coordinated closely with Egypt and Israel. The resolution further empowers the force to take all necessary measures to fulfill its mandate in accordance with international law, including international humanitarian law.
